Purple Chocolate Layered Cake

Ingredients
Chocolate Cake Layers

2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup cocoa powder (natural gives the best color)
2 cups granulated sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
1½ baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup hot coffee (or hot water) – adding hot coffee deepens the chocolate flavor, but you won’t taste the coffee in the final recipe
Blueberry Buttercream Frosting

1½ cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened – cheese adds a nice tang to the frosting, plus, helps the frosting hold its shape
4–5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Chocolate Ganache Drip

½ cup heavy cream
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
