Transilvania Academica scholarship

Transilvania Academica scholarship is designed as a competition for international students from non-EU countries.

GOALS:

Attracting international students to study at the University of Transilvania
Form a group of “Ambassadors” of the University of Transilvania and thus increase the international visibility of their institution

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants should complete the online application form.

DURATION:

The scholarship is awarded for full participation in bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral studies to candidates accepted for study at the University of Transilvania.

The complete passage of students in each academic year is the condition for the scholarship to be awarded for the following year of study.

THE SCHOLARSHIP ADVANTAGE:

The scholarship covers:

tuition fees (including registration and graduation fees);
free accommodation in university dormitories (including holidays);
a monthly allowance of 800 lei (about 170 USD, including holidays).

The application file is the following documents (in .pdf format) to be uploaded in the online application form:

curriculum vitae, highlighting the candidate’s outstanding achievements;
cover letter (one page maximum);
three letters of recommendation to support the candidate’s outstanding performance.

Submission of all documents in English is mandatory for the admission of candidates to the competition. Incomplete files will be rejected. No document can be added to the dossier after the submission deadline.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:

An evaluation committee whose members are appointed by the rector of the University of Transylvania in Brasov will be responsible for selecting the candidates.

The selection criterion is the quality of the documents submitted in the application file.

Selection Process Timeline:

15.02.2021 – 27.04.2021 – Candidate registration by completing the online application form;

03.05.2021 – 26.05.2021 – Evaluation of application files;

27.05.2021 – 28.05.2021 – Approval of the list of selected candidates (including a waiting list);

31.05.2021 – Announcement of the selected candidates by e-mail.
